Our loving and amazing wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, passed away on August 17, 2017 at age 80 after a courageous struggle with Alzheimer’s disease, and has entered eternal life in heaven.

Toni was born in Detroit, MI, on May 22, 1937, to Jack and Helen Wigle. A veteran newspaperman, Mr. Wigle progressed from teenage Detroit paperboy to president of the Perth Amboy (NJ) Evening News. In 1943 Toni, her parents and sister, Shari, moved to Van Nuys, CA. In 1955 Toni graduated from Van Nuys High School and married Ron Bronson, her high school sweetheart, at St. Elisabeth Church.

For 56 years Toni lived in Newbury Park, where she and Ron raised their children - Randy, Ric, Lorilynn and Rob. The Bronsons, married for 62 years, renewed their wedding vows on their 50th anniversary at St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church, their parish since the 1960s.Toni participated in many St. Julie events and ministries, especially Helping Hands, and belonged to the senior club.

An outstanding homemaker, Toni loved being a wife and mother. She nurtured her children’s academic and athletic abilities and involved herself in all their activities. She kept her sewing machine humming with multiple family projects. A talented pianist, Toni filled her home with music, particularly George Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue.”

When her children matured, Toni began her 18-year career with Jones and Associates, now Jones Trading Institutional Services, in Westlake Village. At the third market brokerage business, Toni appreciated learning about stock trading for the largest institutions and hedge funds She served as manager of new accounts and as a vice president during the 1980s and 1990s when the firm broadened its client coverage and opened branch offices across the country. Toni was delighted her daughter, Lorilynn, joined the company and worked on the Jones team for 15 years.

Toni, a proud grandmother of six, enjoyed her grandchildren’s sports or school events, her trips with them and family weekends at Lake Arrowhead. Ron, a general contractor, built their mountain cabin in 1975 with Randy and Ric, assisted by Toni, Lorilynn and Rob. Motor home enthusiasts, Toni and Ron shared 20 years of United States driving adventures.

Known for her sense of humor, bright smile, compassion and generosity, Toni was a resilient woman. She survived colon cancer at age 38 and met life’s challenges with a tenacious spirit.
